Hi Everyone, At last I have a bit of time to write the newsletter. The Airing of the Quilts was a great success! We raised over 9000 dollars. A great big thank you goes to all my friends that worked so very hard to make the two days such a wonderful event. I would like to thank all the ladies who were kind enough to exhibit their quilts, without all these beautiful quilts the Airing of the Quilts could not go ahead. All the money raised will stay on the Downs to help pay for Breast Cancer Nurses in our hospitals. I had my operation and treatment in Toowoomba and I must say I could not fault any of the team that helped me. If you would like to help in some little way next year please let us know. Also I hope all of you are working on an other quilt to exhibit, we are also very happy to announce we will have several catorgies for next year. We are hoping to get more children involved, if your child would like to learn how to Patchwork look out for our Kids Classes in the Christmas Break. Next year we will have viewers choice awards and of cause you will all get the usual goodie bag.
Some of our visitors veiwing the quilts, as you can see we had beautiful weather. On Saturday we had a local band called Aperitif Jazz Band, and the Killarney School of Dance entertain us.

Haven't we had just the most wonderful winter, our grass is still green. The rain has been wonderful, hopefully a great start for the garden come spring.
Well we have been very busy here at Glenrose and have lots of new samples - yes I have been doing some sewing..... Below I have made a table runner using one charm pack from the range "Rural Jardin" made by Moda. I tried out the Curve Master Foot - what a great invention, no more pinning. I also used the Drunkards Path templates made by Matidla's Own, it is quick and easy when you can just cut out all your pieces with your rotary cutter. I like the small 28mm rotary cutter for getting around the curves. All of these items we stock at Glenrose.
